Meet Your Guide

Hi, I’m Cynthia Garner, a doctor of body-mind healing, somatic psychotherapist, and leadership coach. As a survivor of complex relational trauma and a single mother, I’ve learned firsthand the power of creativity to transform pain into purpose.

I’ve dedicated my life to helping others harness their inner strength, heal relational wounds, and create systems of care that inspire collective transformation. In Fierce Creativity, I’ll guide you step by step through the practices that have empowered me—and so many others—to heal, thrive, and lead with courage.

What Past Program Participants Are Saying

“You won’t regret signing up for this program. For me, making the investment wasn’t just about the course—it was about committing to myself. The consistent checkpoints, the accountability of the group, and the time set aside every week to do the work made all the difference. Cynthia was an incredible guide, and I loved her meditations and teaching. But the real magic was in showing up for myself, week after week, and seeing how much growth was possible when I actually put in the effort. This program was absolutely worth it.”
— Jessica R., LGBTQ Activist

“Cynthia’s lived experience is what makes her teaching so impactful. She has walked through her own battles with grief, trauma, and chronic pain, and done her own deep work so that she can really show up from a place of deep wisdom and authenticity. Her guided meditations were exactly what I needed—they were calming, nourishing, and gave me a sense of safety I really needed. I just felt so cared for.”
— Alison M., Massage Therapist

“Cynthia has an incredible ability to see what’s really holding you back. Her kindness, wisdom, and practical tools helped me uncover and address patterns I didn’t even realize were keeping me stuck. Her mindfulness practices have been a game-changer for managing my anxiety. For the first time in years, I feel calm and in control of my own journey.”
— Laura B., Nonprofit Founder and Executive Director

“This course was a game-changer for me. Signing up forced me to actually follow through and take the time to focus on myself. It wasn’t just the amazing meditations and teachings (which were fantastic), but the structure of the program—knowing I had regular sessions, a supportive group, and space to reflect—that kept me on track.

If you’re on the fence, just do it. You’ll be amazed at what happens when you commit to showing up for yourself.”
— Alex M., Educator

“I started working with Cynthia feeling completely burned out and overwhelmed by the weight of everything happening in the world. By the end of the program, I felt like a new person. The live calls were grounding, and the creative practices she built in helped me process so much I’d been holding onto. It really surprised me how effective this was, even though I’ve never really considered myself “creative”. It really helped me care for myself and gave me my spark back. I feel a lot more empowered now.”
— Marina V., Climate Activist

“The personal, small-group approach of this program [Writing to Heal Attachment Wounds] was exactly the container I needed. The mindfulness helped me access truths in my writing and connect to my anger and my wounded child parts. The prompts and discussions brought together things in my mind and my spirit that helped me reconnect with myself on every level and give myself permission to accept myself and rest in new ways. Cynthia’s calm, steady voice created such a safe and nourishing space. I’ve taken many courses, but this one has stayed with me in ways I didn’t expect. I still haven’t had a panic attack since the class ended!”
— Jasmine T., Social Worker

“I don’t consider myself an artist at all, and I was nervous about exploring creativity in front of other people, but my work is extremely stressful and I needed something to balance it out. Cynthia created such a supportive and non-judgmental environment that I felt completely at ease. The creative exercises helped me access parts of myself I hadn’t connected with in years, and the group calls were actually really interesting and fun. It was really nice to connect with the other participants in a small group. I feel more grounded, confident, and open.”
— Katrina R., University Administrator

“What sets Cynthia apart is her ability to connect deeply with your core experience. She gently guided me to see the places where I was stuck, and her mindfulness tools were truly life-changing for my anxiety and overwhelm. I didn’t expect to leave this program with such a sense of clarity and purpose, but I did.”
— Rachel T., Writer and Artist

“Cynthia is a natural group facilitator. Her ability to read the room and adapt to the group’s needs is incredible. She created a safe space for healing that even the most resistant participants felt comfortable in. Our team had been deeply traumatized by systemic challenges, but Cynthia’s creative and compassionate approach helped us rebuild trust and reconnect. Her presence was a turning point for us.”
— Dr. Karen H., School Principal

“Cynthia’s teaching felt personal and deeply meaningful. Her creative methods and big-picture thinking inspired me to see systemic challenges not as roadblocks, but as opportunities for growth and healing. Her ability to bring even the most resistant team members into the conversation was remarkable. This wasn’t just a program—it was the start of real change.”
— Maria T., Equity Consultant

“This program met me in a heavy place and helped me find my way out. Cynthia’s guidance, shaped by her own journey through grief, chronic pain, and a dark night of the soul, was so authentic and grounding. Her meditations were soothing in ways I didn’t realize I needed. More than anything, her nurturing presence reminded me that healing is possible, no matter where you’re starting from.”
— Daniel L., Occupational Therapist
